Introduction
Welcome to SAFE website, your source for comprehensive Lanthanide and Actinide extraction chemistry!
From this website, you are able to download our data for your research, upload your data to help growth of the community. To upload your data, the PI first requests to be a group leader and then you're able to allow your group members to upload data. In addition, the PI needs to validate the uploaded data by your group member to clarify the responsibility and ownership of the data.

Downloading Our Data
Our database website makes it easy for users to access and download the data they need.
Follow these simple steps to download data from our site:
1. You need to sign up to use our database if you're a new user. Click on the "Sign Up" tab
to type your information to sign up.
2. To locate our data, log in using your email and password, then click the "Browse Data"
tab in the main navigation menu.
3. Once you have identified the data you need, click the "Download as CSV" button.
Your download will begin immediately, and you will be able to save the file to your local
device.

Uploading Your Data
Our database website makes it easy for users to upload their data to help growth of the
commnity. Follow these steps to upload your data:
1. To become an uploader, visit "Your
Profile" tab on the website. Submit the request by finding your group leader (If not, ask
your group leader to become a PI, or contact us for assistance).
2. After your data uploader role has been approved by the group leader or admin, you should
see a new tab "Upload" appear in the nav bar, which means you are able to upload your
data. Navigate to the "Upload" section.
3. Download the data template provided. This template ensures that your data is formatted
correctly for our database. Prepare and organise your data based on the template you
downloaded.
4. Once your data is prepared, return to the "Upload" tab. Choose your data type and
click on "Upload" button to upload your data for review.
5. Your group leader will verify the data and submit it to our admin team. Our admin team
will review the uploaded data to ensure it meets
our quality and formatting
standards. You will receive an email notification once your data has been reviewed and
approved. Approved data will be published and available for users to download from our
database.

PI Data Validation
If your role is PI, you will have full responsibility and ownership for the data submitted.
To request to be PI and manage your group members and data, follow these steps:
1. If you want to become a PI, you can either request to be a group leader in the "Your
Profile" tab or contact us directly in the "Contact" page. Once
you're a PI, you can manage your group member and data.
2. You can allow your group member to upload data. Manage new user requests in the "New user
requests" section, you will see some of your group members submit a
request to you and want to be Data Uploaders. Accept the requests if the requests come from
your group members.
3. Once your group members become Data Uploaders and they can upload the data, you will see
the data in the "New data upload requests" section. Note that the data here has been
verified by PI before submission. So, you will click on "Validate data" to start verifying
the data submitted by your group member.
4. Check consent and Click on "Validate data" if the data is original. Otherwise, upload
your corrections. You should see a "Success" message, which
means your data is the SAFE database and the community is able to download it in the
"Browse Data" tab after admin team approves it.
5. Our admin team will review the uploaded data to ensure it meets
our quality and formatting
standards. You will receive an email notification once your data has been reviewed and
approved. Approved data will be published and available for users to download from our
database.
